RD2BE Mentorship Program

The RD2BE Mentorship Program brings nutrition students together with Registered Dietitians for mentorship, professional development, and networking. Over the course of five weeks, students will engage in one-on-one meetings with an RD mentor in conjunction with peers in collaborative and educational group sessions. The program begins with a kickoff meeting followed by weekly engagement.

Open Call for Mentors

Are you a Registered Dietitian that would like to mentor a nutrition student? The commitment is minimal, but the impact is profound. Request more info below.

 Mentor Outline

  1. Optional "draft day" participation to select student based on personal interest (all identifiable information from student is redacted for an equitable process) 

  2.  Pair with dietetics student (can opt for more than 1 student) and attend 5 weekly one-on-one virtual meetings with mentee.

  3. Each virtual meeting has a guided topic and corresponding outline with prompts to complete if needed.

  4. We are here to guide you the whole way!

Open Call for Students

Are you a nutrition student that would like to be paired with a RD mentor? See below for the program outline. Space is limited to the number of mentors available. You will be notified of your placement prior to the program starting.

Student Outline

  1. Meet for Orientation (all applicants)

  2. Assigned mentor (if accepted)

  3. 5 weekly one-on-one virtual meetings with mentor based on mutual availability

  4. 5 weekly group meetings with peers led by Program Coordinator (additional to one-on-one mentor meetings) 

  5. If unable to attend group meetings, alternative interactive participation expectations are provided.

***While we work extremely hard to offer as many slots as possible, it is very likely that not all students will be paired with a mentor. Review the instructions emailed to you for explanation of the equitable process ***
